"Surviving
Change"
A panel of four generations of
women share their experiences of living through
life's transitions and discuss how their faith
has given them inner strength and peace during
times of personal crisis.

Gracie Staton
is single, 30 years old and from Charlotte,
North Carolina. She graduated from Hollins
University in Roanoke, Virginia with a B.A.
in Studio Art and Spanish. She moved to San
Diego 8 years ago and has held jobs in the
arts ranging from directing a local artist’s
gallery to doing custom painting and refinishing
jobs, all while completing her Master’s degree
in Arts Therapy. She is currently working
as an art teacher at Maranatha Christian School
and enjoys every day in beautiful Coronado. |

Leanna Miller Tankersley
is a San Diego native and graduated from Liberty
University in 1998 and West Virginia University
in 2000, with a M.A. in English. She returned
to San Diego to work at Flood Church, and
in 2003 married and moved to the Middle East
with her husband, Steve, while he finished
his tour in Bahrain a an active duty Navy
SEAL. She is currently working on her first
book, “Found Art,” and is the mother of 4-month
old twin, Luke and Lane. |

Patty Wolfe
was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa and graduated
from Simmons College in Boston with a degree
in Social Science. She married Rod, a Naval
officer in 1958 and moved around to submarine
bases, relocating 13 times in 25 years. He
has worked in church music, singing, playing,
directing, leading children’s choirs, etc.
She has three children, located in Idaho Falls,
San Diego, and Naples, Italy. Her favorite
role is grandmother to eight, ages 3 to 21!
All are totally fascinating ... just ask her! |

Megan Moffit
was born in Los Angeles, California and graduated
from the University of Utah with a B.S. in
Education. He earned her Master’s degree in
Special Education from the University of Northern
Florida ten days prior to having her second
son. She has been married for 31 years, joining
her husband, Matthew, in his Navy career and
has moved eleven times and lived in six states.
She has five children, four boys who are currently
serving in the Army, Marines and Navy, with
the last son attending the Naval Academy.
She has a daughter, Sarah, in the eighth grade.
Her favorite thing is to be with her family
in their home, on the road, skiing or in New
York or California! |
